Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, as well as romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, as well as any dramatic performance. Ana started learning how to play and sing in the early years alongside her mother. She received more formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. After moving from Mexico to America around 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and is a performer of Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. As an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of art and music has her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates having the chance to share her passion and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
